Glass Shower Enclosures

Shower Enclosure Glass – For existing shower enclosure glass, SurfaceCare has adapted our
commercial field experience into restoration of Residential shower enclosure glass. This service
can renew the “like new” appearance to architectural glass shower enclosures that have naturally degraded
over time from exposure to an aggressive high moisture bathroom atmosphere.
- Shower enclosure glass is commonly degraded, with the appearance of cloudiness, hard water stains, and
other stains and debris that have literally bonded to the glass. This is commonly most pronounced along the
bottom edges or the lower portions of the glass; these conditions vary from geographic area to geographic area,
depending on the local characteristics of the water; such as hard water / high mineral content.

Degradation of shower enclosure glass can happen within months of a new installation, depending primarily
on the composition of the local water. It is more and more common for higher end shower enclosure contractors to
be offering various protective coating products as an extra cost option for a shop application before installation.
- Depending on the quality of the product offered and the integrity of the application process; protective
coatings are proving effective in preserving the "as new" appearance of shower enclosure glass and allowing
easier routine cleaning.
- Once SurfaceCare has restored the existing glass, our "polymeric resin" technology is field applied to protect
the glass from stains and debris adhering to the surface and resulting in an "easy clean" surface that is renewed
to it's "like new" appearance after every cleaning.
- SurfaceCare is unique in our expertise as a field applicator of our technology which is more commonly available
only on new glass from the manufacturer or as a shop application.
